Department of Zoology
Department of Zoology was established in the year 1972. It has six dedicated and strongly motivated faculty members, including four full-time and two government approved CHB faculty. Currently one among four permanent faculties one is Professor, one is Associate Professor, and two are Assistant Professors.The department currently offers undergraduate programs for the Faculty of Science (B.Sc) and a post-graduate program (MSc) in Zoology with Endocrinology as specialization.
We have successfully implimented NEP-2020 at UG as well as PG levels and going to incept HSc. Honours (Four Years) programme probably from the academic year 2026-27. The department is a research center for PhD recoginzed by the University of Mumbai. Prof. Vinod Narayane and Dr. Kranti Ozarkar are the recognized PhD guides of the University of Mumbai. Our students consistently qualify for the NET, SET examinations and also the Public Service Commission Examinations. Every year we also offer two credit certificate courses to UG students.
