B.Sc. Data Science

The Bachelor of Science in Data Science program focuses on developing students’ analytical, computational, and statistical skills to extract insights from large and complex datasets. The objective is to train students in programming, data visualization, machine learning, and predictive analytics for evidence-based decision-making.

The program nurtures innovation by integrating data science applications across business, healthcare, finance, and other domains. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, ethical data handling, and interdisciplinary learning. Graduates are prepared for professional roles such as Data Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, and Research Associates, as well as for pursuing advanced studies in data-driven fields.

Eligibility

  • A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science - Data Science, shall have passed HSC (Standard - XII) or equivalent from any streams (Arts, Commerce and Science) or its equivalent examination or a Diploma in any Engineering Branch conducted by Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or a Diploma from MSBTE with Mathematics /Statistics /Computer Science/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt and 40% for reserved category in one attempt.
