About the Program:

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is a 3- to 4-year undergraduate program spread over six to eight semesters. It is designed to bridge the gap between academic and IT industry by incorporating the latest technological advancements into the curriculum. The program is designed for students interested in the field of computer science and information technology. Eligibility Criteria
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates All India Candidature Candidates NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC), Foreign National (FN) Candidates
  • The candidate should be a citizen of India;
  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Admission Policy of the Affiliating University and obtained non zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET-2024 conducted by the Competent Authority; or
  • The candidate should have passed AICTE approved Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent.
  • The candidate should be a citizen of India
  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Admission Policy of the Affiliating University and obtained non zero positive scorein Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Under Graduate (UG) or obtained non-zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET2024 conducted by the Competent Authority: Provided that, preference shall be given to the candidate obtained non zero positive score in Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Under Graduate (UG)over the candidates obtained non zero score in MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET2024 conducted by the Competent Authority; or
  • The candidate should have passed All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent
  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per the Admission Policy of the Affiliating University; or
  • The candidate should have passed AICTE approved Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent;
  • Any other eligibility criteria or requirements declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1: Graduates will develop a strong foundation in computer science principles, programming, and IT infrastructure, enabling them to tackle technical challenges in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

PEO2: Graduates will be equipped with essential problem-solving, analytical, and software development skills, preparing them for successful careers in various IT roles, including software development, systems analysis, and network management

PEO3: Graduates will be trained to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies, fostering a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends.

PEO4: Graduates will understand the ethical implications of technology and IT practices, ensuring they contribute positively to society and uphold professional and ethical standards in their work.

PEO5: Graduates will develop strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to work effectively in teams, lead projects, and collaborate across diverse, multicultural environments in the IT industry.

  • Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and domain knowledge to solve the computational problems.
  • Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply discipline –specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied computational problems

  • Tools Usage: Apply appropriate technologies and tools with an understanding of limitations.
  • Profession and society: Demonstrate knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional practice.
  • Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the computational solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development
