For A.Y. 2023- 24

Department of Economics & Business Economics has organized Ecofest with the name ‘ECONSPIRE’ on the theme ‘India’s Journey towards Third Largest Economy in the World’ / ‘भारताची जगातील तिसऱ्या मोठ्या अर्थव्यवस्थेकडे वाटचाल’ on 20th and 21st March 2024 for economics students from class F.Y.B.A to M.A. wherein the footfalls were of 207 visitors.

The Ecofest consists of three different events on the said theme viz., Essay Writing Competition, Poster Making Competition and 3D Model Making Competition/ Exhibition.
B. K. Birla College (Autonomous), Kalyan has participated in 31st International Economics Convention held on 11th,12th and 13th December 2023 in K.C College, HSNC University. The College was allotted the theme "Investing for a Sustainable Future: Redefining the US Market through Innovation and Smart Decisions”. The college has received following prizes

For A.Y. 2022-23

Department of Economics and Business Economics has organized an exhibition on the theme ‘Insights on Union Budget 2023-24’ on 6th March, 2023. The event was conducted in room no.104 with a total of 68 participants representing SYBA and TYBA economics students and witnessed a footfall of 131 visitors.  

Seven priorities of the budget ‘Saptarishi’ are inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructure and investment, unleashing the potential, green growth, youth power and financial sector around which the theme of this exhibition was revolving.

For  A.Y. 2021-22
Department of Economics & Business Economics organized an Alumni Talk Series in the month of February 2022 on Skill Development of the students with the objective of encouraging critical thinking, empowering students to assess situations and arrive at wise judgments. The series encompassed various choices the students may opt for in their career.

Around 90 students were benefitted from this 5 Days Alumni Talk Series.

For A.Y. 2019-20
The Department of Economics & Business Economics has organized an Industrial Visit to Kokuyo Camlin Ltd., Tarapur of 35 students to provide with an insight into the real working environment on 14th December 2019. The visit was organized to provide to learn practically from theoretical knowledge through interaction, working methods, and employment practices in the company.

2018-19
Department of Economics & Business Economics has organized a Study tour to Silvassa to provide the students a practical exposure in line with their academic requirements of syllabus on 22nd January, 2019.

The study tour included 22 students with the visit to Tribal Cultural Museum, Nature park and Safari.
