About the Department:
Combining theory and practical, the department offers curricula for Bachelors with specialisation in third year for Journalism and Advertising.

The Department of Multi Media and Mass Communication aims to meet the needs of media professionals working in various outfits of the industry. It constantly makes efforts to innovate programmes in order to meet the challenges in the industry.

The students are provided hands on training for photography, news reporting and writing. They are groomed in their talents and skills which enables them to pursue higher education overseas.

  • Students of Mass media have secured Best College Award in 2018 in intercollegiate fest at Vidyalankar Institute , Wadala.
  • Students have received many prizes in intercollegiate festivals.
  • Intercollegiate festival called Seatowning in different titles held by Lala Rajpat Rai College bagged the prizes in Best College Award second runner up, Stand up First prize, Cartooning first prize, solo dance first prize and first consolation and Best out of Waste
  • Retake event held L. S. Raheja College, Khar students have won prizes
  • S. K. Somaiya College organised Mediateck event won prizes in Dance and Trailer making.
  • Elixire event held by Khalsa College BMM fest bagged 6 prizes in mask painting, Stand up, Ad making, trailer making, fashion show first prize.
  • Maharashtra Utsav: Essay Writing 3rd Prize, Debate 2nd Prize, Short Film 2nd Prize.

Department Achievement

Department of Mass Media have contributed in creating the College logo of Golden Jubilee year. The logo got released at the hands of Padmashree Rajashree Birla madam on 17th June 2021. College has released a postal stamp as well which includes Golden Jubilee Logo released at the hands of Owner able Governor of Maharashtra Shree Bhagat Singh Koshiyari Ji on 14th Oct. 2021 at Rajbhavan Mallabar Hill, Mumbai.
